Esplanade announces free Friday noon concerts for local chamber ensembles

Esplanade unveiled a free Friday noon concert series featuring local chamber ensembles, beginning in September. Forty-five-minute sets rotate string quartets and wind trios from youth orchestras based in Ang Mo Kio, Jurong West, and Marine Parade community clubs.

Seating is general admission with priority rows reserved for seniors who register at the box office one hour before performance. Programmes include composer notes in plain language and do not require prior classical music knowledge.

Recordings will be posted as audio-only streams under Creative Commons licenses where performers consent, extending reach to patients in hospitals that block video bandwidth.
